- 2:2 honours degree in law, or international equivalent. Applicants without a relevant degree or a 2:2 may apply with further evidence such as a CV and references.
- English language
- IELTS 6.5 overall with 6.0 in all subskills, or an accepted equivalent.

- Cardiff's Pakistan page considers a four-year bachelor's (honours) degree, a two-year master's following a two, three or four-year bachelor's, or a one-year master's following a three or four-year bachelor's.
