Student rights and fair dealing
Our commitment to honest, transparent support for students and families, and the terms for using this website. Last updated 13 October 2026.
Our commitment
SA Global Education is committed to raising awareness of student rights and compliance in the education industry. We stand against all fraud and deception, whoever it comes from.
This page explains how we work with students and families, what we will never do, what we ask of you, and what to do if something does not look right. It also sets out the terms for using this website.
- We do not take cash. We never accept cash from students or families, for any reason.
- We do not charge students fees. Our advice and application support are free for students.
- You pay universities directly. Tuition fees and deposits go straight to the university, through its official payment channels, in your name.
- Your documents must be genuine. We will not prepare, change or submit any document we believe is false.
- We do not promise outcomes. Admission, scholarship and visa decisions belong to universities, funding bodies and governments.
How we are funded
Many of the universities and pathway providers we work with pay us a commission when a student we have supported enrols. This is how we keep our service free for students, and it does not change the fees you pay.
We give you the same advice whether or not an institution pays us, and we will always tell you about other suitable options. If you want to know whether we have a commercial relationship with a university you are considering, ask us and we will tell you.
Payments and money
We never ask you to pay money to SA Global Education, and we never ask you to pay into the personal bank account of any member of our staff. We do not hold money for students and we do not make payments on your behalf.
- Pay tuition fees, deposits and accommodation fees only to the university or provider, using the bank details or payment portal on its official website or in your official offer letter.
- Pay visa fees and the Immigration Health Surcharge only through the official government website for your destination.
- Keep every receipt, and check that the payment appears on your university account.
- If anyone claiming to work for SA Global Education asks you for cash or for a payment to them, do not pay. Contact us straight away on the numbers and email address listed on this website.
Refunds
Because we do not take payments from students, we do not issue refunds. Refunds of tuition fees, deposits and other charges are governed by the refund policy of the university or provider you paid, and by the rules of the visa authority for visa fees.
It is your responsibility to request any refund directly from the university or provider, within its deadlines and with the evidence it asks for. We can point you to the relevant policy and explain what it says, but we cannot process, guarantee or speed up a refund. Read each university's refund and withdrawal policy before you pay a deposit.
Your responsibilities
To protect your application and your future, we ask you to:
- Give us complete and accurate information about your studies, finances, immigration history and any previous visa refusals.
- Provide only genuine documents, and tell us if anything in a document is wrong.
- Write your own personal statement and any other written work. We guide you on what admissions teams look for, and the words must be yours.
- Check every application and visa form yourself before it is submitted, because the declaration on each form is yours.
- Read the terms of every offer, scholarship and refund policy before you accept or pay.
False information or false documents can lead to a refused application and, in serious cases, to a ban on future applications. In the UK, a refusal for deception can carry a ban of up to ten years. Using an agent is never a defence.
What we cannot do
- We cannot guarantee admission, a scholarship, an amount of funding or a visa.
- We do not offer special or unofficial routes into any university. Every applicant goes through the same admissions process.
- We do not write personal statements, essays, research proposals or any other assessed work for students.
- Our guidance on visas is general information about the process. Decisions are made by the relevant government, and for complex immigration matters we will recommend that you speak to a qualified, regulated immigration adviser.
Spotting fraud
Education fraud often relies on trust and urgency. Be careful if anyone, including someone using our name, does any of the following:
- Asks for cash, or for a payment into a personal account.
- Promises guaranteed admission, a guaranteed scholarship or a guaranteed visa.
- Sends an offer or scholarship letter you cannot verify with the university itself.
- Asks you to sign blank forms, or to leave the checking of your application to them.
- Pressures you to pay or decide quickly.
You can check any offer by contacting the university's admissions office through the details on its official website. Read our guides on choosing an agent and on the UK Agent Quality Framework for more.
Complaints and reporting
If you are unhappy with our service, email [email protected] with the details and we will look into it and respond.
If your complaint is about a university, use that university's complaints process first. For universities in England and Wales, students who remain unhappy may be able to take their complaint to the Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education (OIA). Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own public service ombudsmen.
If you believe you have been the victim of fraud, report it. In Pakistan, contact the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). In the UK, report it to Report Fraud, the national service that replaced Action Fraud. If you are in immediate danger, call the police.
Information on this website
We work hard to keep this website accurate. Fees, scholarships, entry requirements, living costs and visa rules are set by universities and governments, and they change. Figures on this website are indicative, and we confirm the current position with you before you apply.
Content on this website is general information. It is not legal, financial or immigration advice for your circumstances, and you should not rely on it as such. Links to other websites are provided for your convenience, and we are not responsible for their content.
Use of this website
The text, design and graphics on this website belong to SA Global Education unless stated otherwise. You may view, download and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please do not copy or republish our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
University names, logos and trade marks belong to their owners. We show them to identify institutions that students can apply to, and their appearance does not mean that an institution endorses SA Global Education. Students' offer letters are shown with their permission, with names and personal details removed.
Our liability
We provide our guidance with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for decisions made by universities, scholarship bodies or governments, or for losses caused by payments made outside the official channels described on this page.
Nothing on this page limits or excludes any rights you have under the law that applies to you, or any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
Your data
How we collect and protect your personal information is explained in our privacy policy.
