A one-semester pre-masters programme at the LJMU International Study Centre for international students progressing to postgraduate degrees at Liverpool John Moores University.

Entry requirements

Academic

A recognised first degree. Business, Management and Law: a degree not necessarily related to the programme is acceptable. Age 20+. Pakistan: 2 year Bachelor's (Regular Pass) with at least 1 year work experience 55%; 3 year Bachelor's (Hons) 45% overall; 3 year Bachelor's (Regular Pass) 45% overall; 4 year Bachelor's (any) 45% overall; 3 year Diploma 55% overall (only if taken after Year 11 or 12); associate degree not eligible.

English language

Academic IELTS for UKVI 5.5 (minimum 5.5 in all sub skills). Duolingo English Test minimum 105 is listed but is not accepted for Pakistan applicants, who require a SELT. Results must be within the past 24 months.

Experience or portfolio

2 year Bachelor's (Regular Pass) applicants from Pakistan need at least 1 year of work experience.

Applicants from Pakistan

Pakistan route recorded is the 4 year Bachelor's at 45% overall; other routes are quoted in academic_requirements. The university's own Pakistan page states it will not accept applications from Pakistan for 2026/27; whether this affects the pathway programme is not stated. Source

Working after you graduate

Bachelor's and master's graduates on a Student visa may apply in the UK for the Graduate visa: two years if applying by 31 December 2026, or 18 months if applying on or after 1 January 2027.
