Taught Master's in computer science for graduates with a substantial computing background, combining a core module each semester with optional modules and an individual project. An industry placement version and PGDip and PGCert exit awards are also offered.

Entry requirements

Academic
2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject with a substantial element of Computing. Relevant work experience may also be considered.
English language
IELTS 6.0 or equivalent (Leicester equivalency table: minimum 5.5 in each IELTS component; PTE 59; TOEFL iBT 80; Duolingo 105)
Applicants from Pakistan
Pakistan page: honours BSc or BEng with a minimum GPA of 2.7/4.0 for Computing or Engineering Master's. A four-year bachelor's with a Medium of Instruction letter from listed Pakistani universities may be considered for English, case by case. Source

Careers

Some modules are delivered with industry colleagues and the school has an Industrial Advisory Board; placement routes add work experience.

Working after you graduate

Bachelor's and master's graduates on a Student visa may apply in the UK for the Graduate visa: two years if applying by 31 December 2026, or 18 months if applying on or after 1 January 2027.
